I have to share with you what I have been doing and seeing with the Orkney Pi knit-a-long on the EZAsPi group at Yahoo. I am working on the first tree section. I had a slight error on the last 'tree' in the round, but Liz assured me, that it is going to be okay as is and that I should continue to knit on rather than rip, unless I am bothered overmuch. You know me better than that. I knit on. Now that leaves me about to finish section two, the trees, and ready to embark on section three, diamonds. I cannot pin mine out because I am knitting on 24" circs. The shawl is too big to do this and I am not yet willing to move six hundred some odd stitches to fishing line yet. My conundrum is this: where do I stop the shawl? I am thinking that once the diamond section is finished, it will already be plenty big enough for me, approximately 7 feet across, too big really. I am 5'3". Were I to finish all the charts, I could use it for a tent. Don't believe me? Check it out.

Yup...it's huge. So what do you think? Stop after diamond section and add some type of border? Where would you stop? There are yarn usage issues, too. This thing uses 3500 yds. of laceweight. I don't have that much. I have less than 2,000. Can get more, though. Let's hear it, people:)
